Once that is over, step into the golden circle and hit to enter the first trail. When you arrive in the area, another scene will play. Then head forward to meet up with Hermes as instructed. You will notice that your armor will have its default skin, so customize that if you want to. After the cutscene, you will receive your first quest Warming Up. Choose your difficulty and edit your character if you want to. Start the DLC and carry over your progress from the main game. Below is a map showing the locations of all the trials followed by the details on how to complete this DLC. My time was probably on the high side because I am not the best at platforming and had to do many sections of the trials multiple times to be successful. True Achievements list the completion time for this DLC as 10-12 hours, but it took me a bit more than 19 hours to do so.
The details about traversing and solving puzzles in each section will be in spoiler sections so that you can use them when necessary. For each trial, I will have a description of what is involved to complete it, pictures of all the checkpoints, and a note about which section the chest is located in. I highly recommend that you play on the "story" difficulty as it is very forgiving regarding failures during the transversal sections of the various trials.
You have many options on how to get everything done, so I am just going to lead you through in the order I used. Each god awards you a new ability during one of their trials. The reason for this is that you need certain abilities to reach some of the trials and to complete some of the trials. Finally, even though there are areas related to all the gods you saved in the first game, you can not complete all of one god's trials before moving to another one. Secondly, you have to obtain the optional chest in all but the first and last trials to get access to a secret trial that needs to be completed to obtain all of the achievements. Many of these trials involve challenging traversal sections. The entire DLC is a series of trials that are mostly very hard and long versions of the vaults from the main game. First of all, there isn't really any exploring involved, but you can go find the new upgrade shards if you want to. This DLC is a bit different from the main game.
